Shelves

Shelves are your own lists of books, a simple way to group what you're listening to, planning, or recommending.

A shelf is a list of books you put together yourself: “Up Next,” “Favorites,” a book-club reading list, whatever’s useful. Shelves are about organization, not access: adding a book to a shelf never changes who can see it. (That’s what Collections are for.)

Creating a shelf#

You can make a shelf two ways:

From your profile page.
From any book, tap Add to Shelf.

Public or private#

Each shelf can be public or private. Keep one to yourself, or make it public to share your list with other members of your server. Handy for recommendations or a book club.

Shelves and collections look similar but do different jobs: a shelf is a personal list any member can make, while a collection is an admin tool for controlling who can access which books.
